QA is delighted to have been named the Best Employer for Older Workers at the WM 2022 Top Employer Awards, run by WM People, the UK’s leading organisation for job seeking mums, dads and older workers.
Sponsored by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the award recognises QA as the leading employer on best practice for older workers and being able to demonstrate the impact of our work.
The judges commended QA on our work to offer recruitment opportunities to older workers, help get their confidence back if they have taken time out from their careers, and providing training to support them with their career development.
We are proud of the initiatives we have implemented to support older workers. These include:
- Breaking the silence around menopause by creating a network for women to share stories and seek advice, and providing resources for managers;
- Supporting those with family or carer commitments by giving our employees greater freedom to discuss and agree their working conditions with their manager;
- And encouraging all staff to embrace lifelong learning through development schemes, three free days of training a year and access to the full catalogue of QA training programmes.
